Canadian Pacific Donates Intermodal Container

November 19, 2011

Canadian Pacific recently donated an intermodal container from their Bensenville Yard facility near Chicago, Illinois to the Hoosier Valley Railroad Museum. On Saturday, November 19, 2011, the container arrived at the museum and was off-loaded by a team of museum volunteers. EMPU 880699 was moved from Chicago to HVRM in North Judson via truck by Brown Trucking in LaCrosse.

The container  will eventually be used to store other track materials (OTM), which will help to cut down on the the scrap metal thefts that have occurred at the museum over the last couple of years. For the time being, the container will be used to store archival materials from the main office while it is under reconstruction. HVRM wishes to once again thank CP for their generous donation!
