Are you ready to take a journey back to a bygone era? Then visit the Hoosier Valley Railroad Museum in northwest Indiana. Situated near the former junction of the Erie, PRR, C&O, and NYC in historic North Judson, HVRM offers visitors a unique opportunity to experience the sights, sounds and smells of railroading during its heydays. Visit the museum or take a train ride on our vintage rail equipment. There's lots to do and see at HVRM!
The Hoosier Valley Railroad Museum has an extensive collection of equipment. More than 50 pieces of rolling stock are preserved at the museum including steam and diesel locomotives, passenger cars, cabooses, freight cars, and more. Several pieces are fully operational while others are awaiting restoration.
The donations we receive are critical to preserving and restoring the historic railroad equipment in our collection. We work hard to make every dollar count and no donation is too large or too small. You can donate to specific cause or make a general donation that helps wherever its needed most. We appreciate your support!
The Hoosier Valley Railroad Museum is actively seeking new members who are interested in becoming part of a growing organization. There are numerous volunteer opportunities at the Hoosier Valley Railroad Museum. We invite you and your family to join us as members. We need new members to fill various volunteer positions within our organization. Volunteering can a very rewarding experience for those in our membership.
