Annual Meeting Election Results
On Saturday, January 22, 2012, the Hoosier Valley Railroad Museum held its annual membership meeting at the North Judson Public Library. Typical meetings are held at the museum, but with so many people in attendence, a larger meeting room is usually required.
A number of positions on the Board of Directors were up for election, including the president, the treasurer and two directors. Jason Annen chose not to seek reelection as president, so Cory Bennett and Les Beckman ran for the post. Incumbant Robert Barcus and Margarett Cook ran for treasurer. Four candidates ran for the directors positions, with the incumbants being Joe Kingsbury and Steve Newland with Tom Travis and John LaOrange running against them.
Cory Bennett was elected as the new president, returning to the post he once held several years ago. Robert Barcus retained his position as treasurer. Joe Kingsbury was re-elected as director of rolling stock and John LaOrange replaced Steve Newland as director of buildings. John is also a former president at the museum.
The election committee consisted of members Pat DeGan, Judy Boyer and Louise Kingsbury. Once again, the election committee performed their duties flawlessly, resulting in a smooth election process. We wish to thank all of the members who came to the annual meeting and for participating in the voting process.
An updated museum directory is now available for viewing.
