The Hoosier Valley Railroad Museum is pleased to share with you a number of historical railroad maps and files. The Original Fan-Tour via Pennsylvania Railroad
Photo taken on April 16, 1939 showing an excursion that took place on the Pennsylvania Railroad. The fan trip ran from Chicago to Logansport, Indiana, over the Panhandle Route, then up the Butler branch to Columbia City, Indiana. Then it ran over the PRR's Pittsburgh mainline to Fort Wayne before returning to Chicago. The photo shows the train stopped at Liberty Mills, Indiana. Here's a run-down of the trip, which interestingly shows the population of North Judson at 1,535 people. A 2007 estimate pegs the local population at 1,657.

Cincinnati, Richmond & Muncie Railroad Timetable
Employee timetable pages from 1902 showing the Cincinnati, Richmond and Muncie Railroad between Cincinnati and North Judson. The CR&M was a predecessor of the C&O of Indiana. The cover shows that the line offered "Fine Equipment, Good Service, Low Rates".
