Pumpkin Trains

The Pumpkin Train is one of our most popular trains. Take a fun-filled ride through the crisp rural landscape while enjoying a mix of fall colors! Trains leave the depot in North Judson, Indiana, and take passengers on a leisurely journey.

Our Pumpkin Trains take passengers on a 45-minute, 10-mile round-trip journey from North Judson to English Lake where the train crosses the beautiful Kankakee River before returning to town. We'll drop you off at our pumpkin patch where you can choose the perfect pumpkin for carving!

  Coach or Open-Air Seating

  Adults (Ages 16+): $20
  Children (Ages 3-15): $15
  Toddlers (Ages 0-2): Free

  First Class Seating- Monon Business Car Lynne

  Lounge Tickets (all ages): $25
  Private Room (seats up to 3): $80

  First Class Seating- Norfolk and Western 300

  Open Seating, Includes light refreshments: $35

   

  Infants and toddlers may ride the train for free but must ride on a parent's or guardian's lap. Tickets purchased online will be charged a booking fee. Please read our refund policy.

• Event Details

  All Pumpkin Trains drop passengers off at our pumpkin patch, located on the museum grounds, after their ride. All ticket holders get to explore our pumpkin patch and choose a pumpkin to take home.

• Seating Options

  Purchase your tickets for either first class, coach, or open-air car seating. Our first class car feature premium seating in one of our enclosed business cars. Coaches are enclosed cars with padded seats (either sealed window or open window). The open-air cars are open to the elements with bench-style seating. You will make your choice when purchasing tickets. If you choose open-air car seating, please remember that our trains run rain or shine.

  • Trains run rain or shine.
  • No smoking, alcohol or pets allowed on the train.
  • There are no working restrooms on the train.
  • All trains operate on CENTRAL TIME (Chicago time).
  • Train times are approximate and we are not responsible for delays.
  • Please arrive at least 30 minutes early, as late boarding is not permitted.
  • We reserve the right to cancel trips and substitute equipment.
