Equipment History

This tank car was built for General American Tank Car as no. 87877. GATX donated it to the Hammond Fire Department for training purposes. The car was utilized by the department until deemed surplus. HFD donated the car to the museum and it arrived on August 21, 2021.

Standard hours are from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
