Climb aboard a real vintage diesel locomotive for a full hour of operation on the mainline. Our Throttle Time Program allows you to climb up into the cab of real diesel switch engine with a short train, pull back on the throttle, ring the bell and blow the horn. Learn how to handle a train with supervised engineer experience. This train operates over the former C&O mainline tracks out of North Judson.   • No refunds - please read our full policy.
  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • You must hold a valid driver's license.
  • You must be physically capable of climbing into the cab of a full-size locomotive.
  • Passengers (including family members and photographers) are not permitted on board the locomotive or train while it is in operation.
  • We reserve the right to cancel this program or change equipment, as necessary.
  • All times are CENTRAL TIME (Chicago time).
  • Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your scheduled time and report to the depot.
