We are currently taking reservations for our 2013 operating season (which starts in May), so make your purchase now and we will schedule your time slot for a later date.


Climb aboard a real vintage diesel locomotive for a half hour of operation in our rail yard. Our Guest Engineer Program allows you to climb up into the cab of real diesel switch engine, pull back on the throttle, ring the bell and blow the horn. Learn how to handle a train with supervised engineer experience.


PLEASE NOTE: We will contact you to schedule a date and time that is most convenient for you, so please make sure that you provide valid contact information during checkout. We only operate on Saturdays and time slots are limited.

Details

  • No refunds - please read our full policy.
  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • You must hold a valid driver's license.
  • You must be physically capable of climbing into the cab of a full-size locomotive.
  • Passengers (including family members and photographers) are not permitted on board the locomotive or train while it is in operation.
  • We reserve the right to cancel this program or change equipment, as necessary.
  • All times are CENTRAL TIME (Chicago time).
  • Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your scheduled time and report to the depot.
