Guest Engineers

Have you ever wanted to drive a real train? You can at the Hoosier Valley Railroad Museum in North Judson, Indiana. Program participants must be at least 18 years old, hold a valid driver's license, and meet certain physical requirements. Learn more about our guest engineer program.

    Climb aboard a real vintage diesel locomotive for a half hour of operation in our rail yard. Our Guest Engineer Program allows you to climb up into the cab of real diesel switch engine, pull back on the throttle, ring the bell and blow the horn. Learn how to handle a train with supervised engineer experience.
