The Easter Train

Hop aboard the Easter Train and enjoy a fun-filled excursion aboard one of the Hoosier Valley Railroad Museum's most popular train rides! Passengers will board the train at our depot in North Judson and take a quick trip out across the Kanakakee River bridge at English Lake before returning to town. At our park east of the depot, passengers will disembark from the train. Our younger passengers (ages 2 to 12) will participate in our Easter Egg Hunt. The trains will run on Saturday, April 20, 2019, rain or shine.

Easter Egg Hunt

New for 2019 is our revamped Easter Egg Hunt. Bring your own basket and let your youngster search for eggs filled with candied treasures. Age groups for Easter Egg Hunt will be as follows:

Visit with the Easter Bunny

Bring your camera and take pictures with the Easter Bunny at the park.

Train Times

All times listed are departure times. You must arrive at least 30 minutes early to pick up your tickets from the depot. All trains operate on Central Time (Chicago Time).

The length of the train ride is approximately 90 minutes (including the Easter Egg Hunt).

Ticket Types

Choose from coach or open air car seating when you purchase your tickets. Coach ticket holders will ride in our enclosed passenger coach. Open air ticket holders will ride in our open air car with a roof and bench seating. The open air car offers the most scenic views, but be aware that it is open to the weather.

Ticket Prices

Ticket prices for the Easter Train are as follows:

Infants and toddlers may ride the Easter Train for free, but must be ride on a parent or guardian's lap. Tickets purchased online will be charged a booking fee of $1.00 per ticket. Buy 6 or more tickets and save $2.00 per ticket with our group rate.
